A ride to remember
Hi! My name is Koen and I am currently attempting to ride my bicycle around the world. “Why?” I hear you say.. For several reasons. First of all, I’ve always been interested in exploring unknown areas, discovering different cultures and meeting new people. My bicycle gives me the opportunity to experience all of this in a slow-paced, budget friendly and environmental friendly way.
Besides that, I also personally enjoy an extreme physical challenge. It intrigues me how much stronger the body can be with the right mindset. Pushing your boundaries and exploring your mental limits will be a major challenge of this trip.
Last but definetely not least; for charity! I am trying to raise money to build a school in Africa and provide underprivileged children with education. In collaboration with The Sunday Foundation, we will give a better future perspective to those who don’t have anything or anything to hope for.
Therefore I will cycle 35.000+ kilometers, crossing 30 countries and 4 continents. Support this project!
